To embrace the fall season, have your kids make this beautiful fall tree craft using a toilet paper roll and paint! It's very easy for younger kids to do but may need assistance cutting the TP rolls.
Materials Needed:
- Toilet paper roll
- Paints / Paintbrush
- Paper
- Printable fall tree sheet
- Tape
- Scissors
Start by cutting an empty toilet paper roll down the middle and cutting more so that it makes a small leaf shape. Bend the edges to get the corners pointy and tape it together.
Print out the tree sheet and cut that same toilet roll into three parts so the kids can use one for each color paint.
Once they stamp all over the tree branches they can use a small paintbrush to color in the leaves. You can also add more leaves at the bottom of the tree to make it look like they fell!

I just did this with my grade one class, with awesome results! I had parent volunteers prepare the toilet paper rolls. I forwarded the instructions to them (& had the class collect toilet paper rolls. I also had a parent volunteer help out with the craft in class. I set up 2 tables(12 kids) for painting trunk & branches, one table for "stamping"(6 kids), and one table (6) for painting inside the leaf outlines (stamps) with small paintbrushes. It worked great! Thanks!
This is such a cute idea! I'm definitely doing this craft with my kids this fall. Thanks so much for sharing!
GENIUS! Thanks a bunch!
Thank you Deborah!
So, so, so great!
This is so cute! My kids love stamping projects, and will love making this during our Fall theme week in a couple of months. I also love anything that uses up some of those TP rolls! Pinned it to remember for later!
